Scott, Aubrey: Occupational Therapy

Hello! My name is Aubrey Scott and I am very excited to be providing Occupational Therapy services to the Tamaqua Area School District!

I chose to pursue a career in Occupational Therapy after my sister was diagnosed with Guillain Barre Syndrome. Watching her navigate the challenges that came with her diagnosis and ultimately make a full recovery gave me a deeper understanding of just how impactful Occupational Therapy can be. It showed me the importance of encouraging independence, building confidence, and helping individuals develop meaningful skills for everyday life.  

I graduated from Misericordia University in 2023 with a Master's degree in Occupational therapy, specializing in pediatrics, and minor in psychology. I entered school-based practice and never looked back!

 I believe that Occupational Therapy services should be encouraging, meaningful, and individualized to each student. I look forward to getting to know our students and families, building positive relationships, and supporting each student throughout the school year. 

A few fun facts about me are that I am a fraternal twin, I have a german short-haired pointer, and I am ambidextrous!

I am looking forward to making this a fun, supportive, and successful year.
