About Me

Hello Parents/Guardians!

My name is Miss Habel. I am the Speech/Language Therapist who works with Kindergarten, Kindergarten Plus (K+), and first grade. This is my third year at Tamaqua Elementary. I obtained my Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from La Salle University in Philadelphia. I live in Tamaqua with my boyfriend, Aaron and my 4-year-old daughter, Emery, and our dog, Josie. When I am not at work you can find me spending time with my family and friends, taking Emery to softball, gymnastics or dance or binge watching Grey's Anatomy on my couch!

I love working in this incredibly rewarding field and being able to help my speech students gain confidence in themselves and their speech/language skill sets. My favorite part about being a speech therapist is watching my speech students’ progress and building a rapport with them. I look forward to another great year here at TE! :)
